Mrs. Hazel Millergren, age 75, of Wewahitchka, FL passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at her home in Wewahitchka. Hazel was born on March 4, 1936 in Blountstown, FL and had lived in Gulf County for most of her life. She retired as Post Master in Wewahitchka with 15 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nils Alfred Millergren, son, Nils Andrew Millergren, brother, William Gordan (Bill) Lamb. Hazel was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka.

Survivors include,

One son, Cliff Millergren of Wewahitchka, FL

Two daughters, Terri Knowles and her husband, Tony of Wewahitchka, FL.

Cherlyn McNamara and her husband, Mark of Brewton, FL.

One brother, John C. Lamb and his wife, Barbara, of Burke, VA.

Grandchildren, Drew and Michael Millergren of Wewahitchka, FL

Carol Ann and Nils Millergren of Tarpon Springs, FL

Derek and Alex Knowles of Wewahitchka, FL

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 12, 2011 at 4:00 pm (CDT) at the First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, FL with Reverend Mike Stroud officiating. Interment will follow in the Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka. The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, 2011 from 3:00 pm (CDT) until service time at 4:00 pm (CDT) at the First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
