C.B. Jackson, 77, of Hosford, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009, in Blountstown, Florida.

He was born in Jackson County, but lived most of his life in Liberty County and was a retired welder for the state of Florida. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to camp and spend time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Jackson, of Hosford; a son, Robert Jackson, and his wife, Pam, of Bristol, Florida; two step-sons, Kenny Hand of Sneads, Florida, and Roger Hand and his wife, Georgiana, of Sneads; a step-daughter, Sherry Pringle, and her husband, Frank, of Sneads; two brothers, Tommy Jackson and Odis Jackson, both of Grand Ridge, Florida; three sisters, Odessa Lovelace of Belton, Texas, Cleo Edenfield of Sneads, and Hilda Goodson of Grand Ridge; grandchildren, Crystal Avriett and her husband, Rodger, and Monica Ragans and her husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Amber and Autumn Avriett and Kinsey Ragans; step-grandchildren, Jason, Sid, and Amy Hand, Ben and Kali Pringle.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy D. Wright officiating. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery near Grand Ridge.
