Judge Allen Register sentenced four men to prison last week during a Circuit Court session in the Calhoun County Courthouse.
John McClendon pled no contest to charges of sale or delivery of a controlled substance, trafficking, and possession of listed chemicals. He was sentenced to five years and six months in the Florida Department of Corrections with credit for 259 days served in county jail.
Jerry Don Thurman was sentenced to 40 months in the Florida Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to forgery charges. He will be given credit for 18 months served in the county jail.
Richard Keith Kyle entered a guilty plea to violating his probation on a previous dealing in stolen property charge. He was sentenced to 20 months in the Florida Department of Corrections with credit for 66 days served in county jail.
Jack Stonewall Smith was sentenced to 13 months in the Florida Department of Corrections. He was charged with violating his probation on a previous possession of controlled substance charge. He will be given credit for 38 days served in county jail. His drivers license is suspended for two years.
In other court news, a pre-trial hearing has been set for Aug. 31 for William Shane Black, charged with VOP on a prior meth charge.
