Mrs. Carolyn Jane (Burke) Bryan, 67, of Clarksville, FL, passed away Thursday morning, July 14, 2011, at her home in Clarksville.
Carol was born on September 6, 1943, in Clarksville, FL, and had lived there for most of her life. Carol worked for several years at the Majic Market, 12 years at Russell Sewing Corp. and 12 years at the Callahan Restaurant. She was a member of Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church. Carol loved camping, traveling and family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark Burke, Jr. and Mae Burke, and a brother, Marion Burke, of Altha, FL.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Cain, and her husband, Johnny, of Clarksville; two sons, Steve Campbell and his wife, Nora Ann, of Telogia, and Scott Campbell and his wife, Jackie, of Spring Hill; one brother, Howard Burke, and his wife, Dawn, of Altha; one sister, Hazel Glaze, and her husband, Ronnie, of Compass Lake; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, at 3 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends Saturday July 16, from 2 pm (CDT) until service time at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests anyone wishing may make contributions to Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Ave. Suite E, Marianna, FL 32446.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
