Tribute to the late Fiddler Eubanks set for Saturday

James “Fiddler” Wilhoit Eubanks, a longtime Blountstown business owner and Bristol native, will be honored Saturday, July 16.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. EST at the Liberty County Road Department, just east of Bristol.

Eubanks, who is a past VFW member, will be remembered by the Liberty County Commissioners with a presentation to his family.

Many Calhoun and Liberty countians will remember Mr. Eubanks who owned Pelt’s Department Store in Blountstown for years.

What a great loss for Liberty & Calhoun counties. Mr Wilhoit was a great man and I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
