A traffic stop in Blountstown May 10 has landed a woman in jail for drug trafficking.
Lena Mae Anderson, 47, is charged with trafficking in hydrocodone and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Cpl. Eddie Dalton stopped the woman at the intersection of CR 274 and 73 around 9:30 a.m. for failing to stop at the intersection.
While speaking with Anderson, he noticed several marijuana roaches in the ashtray, along with marijuana shake on the passenger floor board and seat. As she handed him her drivers license, he spotted a pill bottle in her purse without a label.
The woman denied having any illegal drugs and said her son typically drove the vehicle. A search turned up seven marijuana joints in the ashtray, 11 and a half Lortab pills in the bottle in her purse, and another pill and a half in a plastic wrapper.
