Mr. Derrell Packwood (Pack) Bowden, age 69, of Altha, FL, passed away early Thursday morning, March 10, 2011, at Calhoun-Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, FL.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 13, at 2 pm (CDT) at Altha Baptist Church in Altha with Reverend Jim McIntosh officiating. Interment followed in the Chipola Cemetery in Altha.

All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).

My sympathy go out to Pack's family. He loved Altha and Calhoun County. Served as Mayor of Altha and Countty Commissioner. Pack worked very hard in my first campaign for Congress and was always available in others. He was a great friend and I will always be thankful for his friendship.
