A meth lab was busted at the Snowbird Motel in Bristol last Wednesday night, leading to two arrests.
Hali Danielle Smith, 18, and Victor Ricardo Ojeda, 29, have both been charged with trafficking in meth, as well as possession of schedule II narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Sgt. Todd Wheatley and Sgt. Jamie Shiver went to the motel after receiving a tip that Smith, who was wanted on a warrant out of Calhoun County, was staying there. She and Ojeda were sharing a room that contained a plastic bottle with a bi-layer liquid in the closet. Smith reportedly kept moving around in a chair, fumbling with a coat and a plastic bag with a powder substance revealed to be cocaine. Smith claimed ownership of that drug.
After being placed under arrest, Ojeda reportedly stated, “We use meth, but we are not cooks.”
