The annual Black History Parade will be held on Saturday, February 19, beginning at Blountstown High School on Main Street at 10 a.m. Line up will begin at 9 a.m.
We would love to see many pastors leading the parade, followed by floats, cars, and trucks must be appropriately decorated. At a minimum, entries must have a sign located on the front and sides of the vehicle identifying it’s activity. We would love to see many pastors, churches and other civic and community organizations participate in the parade.
The Black History Festival will be held at the Clay Mary Historical Site (River Street) immediately following the parade (parade ends at this location); Contact: Apostle G. B. Sheard (850) 674-8683, Marjorie Peterson 674-3449, (vendor information available), Le’Tonya Reed at 850-272-2482, or the Prayer Chainer’s Mission of God Church at 850-674-5548.
