An investigation into a stabbing case in Bristol back in the spring has left Liberty County authorities with few answers.
Misty Holcomb, 33, told investigators she was stabbed by a man dressed in black after returning from taking her children to school the morning of April 17. She received stitches above her right eye and had 5-1/2” cuts on her right forearm and right leg. She also had 3” cuts on her left forearm and left leg, all requiring numerous stitches.
Evidence was sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Crime Lab, but Inv. Steve Swier tells The County Record he can’t comment on what those findings were.
“We’re continuing the investigation, but there’s no real developments,” he remarks. “There’s actually been a lack of developments. We do need the public’s help.”
Inv. Swier urges anyone with information that might assist in the case to call the LCSO at 643-2235. Crimestoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
