Pharmacists fight law socializing medications

State legislators have issued a prescription that is one bitter pill independent pharmacists aren’t willing to swallow.

Blountstown pharmacists Jon Plummer and Clifford Goodman joined others in their profession at a meeting in Defuniak Springs Sunday to fight recent legislation that, effective Jan. 1, will require state employees on the Caremark prescription plan to mail order all their medications, cutting out the local pharmacies.
