Although I do not know you personally, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. My family and I have suffered through many personal tragedies and deaths and my heart goes out to you. We were greatly comforted by the promises the Bible holds out to us. It promises a time when "He (God) will actually swallow up death forever and...will certainly wipe the tears from our faces" (Isa. 25:8,9). It also promises that, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...to a resurrection of life" (John 5:28,29). While we wait for the wonderful fulfillment of these promises, it is comforting to know that "Jehovah (God) is near to those that are broken at heart; and those crushed in spirit he saves." (Ps. 34:18). I hope you may draw some comfort from turning to the scriptures and those close to you during your great time of need.

Sincerely,
C. Christie
