The election is clearly in full swing as 292 voters have already cast their ballots in Calhoun County.
Early voting continues daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The primary election is set for Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In other election news, three candidates qualified for the City Council post vacated by Phillip Hill. They are Clifford Jackson, Roy Pickron, and Beverly Veress. That race will be on the November 2 ballot.
