Several treated for injuries after crash

A rainy Monday afternoon collision sent several people to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at the intersection of SR 20 and Hwy. 275 around 2:30 p.m. Sources say Cora Stalnaker of Wewa was eastbound on Hwy. 20 in a Dodge pickup and stopped to make a turn onto Hwy. 275. Behind her was Aleena McCoy, 17, of Blountstown, in a Chevy pickup. McCoy reportedly failed to stop and rear-ended Stalnaker’s vehicle.

McCoy, along with some teenage passengers in Stalnaker’s truck, were all transported to Calhoun-Liberty Hospital for treatment.

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
