A two vehicle collision sent three people to the hospital last Thursday afternoon. Fortunately, all of them suffered only minor injuries.
The accident occurred on SR 20 at the 11th Street intersection in Blountstown just after 2 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kimberly Fowler, 18, of Bristol, was behind the wheel of a 1995 GMC pickup going south on 11th Street. She reportedly stopped at the intersection, but failed to yield, driving into the path of a 1998 Chevy pickup driven by Clyde Dykes, 20, of Bristol.
Dykes, his passenger, Bobby Hall, 19, and Fowler were all treated at Calhoun-Liberty Hospital for minor injuries.
Fowler was cited for failure to yield. Dykes received a ticket for no seatbelt.
