Shooter on the loose? Nah...just training

Okay, all you scanner listeners. If you hear reports of gunshots fired at Blountstown Elementary School on July 21, never fear. The school will be the sight of a training exercise for emergency responders.

This “Active Shooter Exercise” will involve law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, emergency management, and other first responders. All the activity is bound to draw attention, so be advised it’s just for training purposes.

The scenario will be an active shooter loose on campus with emergency responders working to contain the situation, keep the children and staff safe, and bring the shooter into custody.
