Calhoun County teachers have voted 61-55 to form a teachers' union. Russell Baggett, teacher at Altha Public School and one of the lead organizers in the Organize Calhoun! campaign, explained, “Today is a new day for Calhoun County teachers. I am excited to know that teachers will be playing an active role – together – in decisions affecting teachers and students alike.”
