The BHS Tiger Football Boosters will start having meetings to watch the game film on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the old weight room in the field house starting tonight, Monday, Aug. 29. Gatorade will be served. Coach Jordan will be there to talk about games and future opponents. "I want to see all of you there," says Garry Futch, Boosters President.

LSU senior and Blountstown native Ryan Baker has made the news again as he gears up for his final college season. "We'll miss Kelvin Sheppard, but Ryan Baker is that guy," Tigers Coach Les Miles said in an interview with The Times-Picayune. Football is in the air and the grill is firing up at Bowles Field tonight, Thursday, Aug. 25, for the Kickoff Classic. Chef Garry Futch, who heads the BHS Tiger Booster Club, will be preparing a delicious meal for Tiger fans. Plates are available for dine in or carry out. Serving begins at 6 p.m. The game starts at 7. The Tigers will be facing the Wewa Gators.
Tonight's menu includes:
1/3 pound char-grilled bacon cheeseburgers, loaded with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion
Fresh hot French fries
Choice of beverage
All for just $5!
Grilled hot dogs will also be available.
Stop by Bowles Field and feed the family before the game or take some plates home if you can't stick around. Proceeds will benefit the Tiger Boosters.
Football practice kicked off Monday, August 8th, with two practices in the afternoon. The players had a week of two--a-days working on offensive and defensive skills during the first practice, then working on special teams in the late practice.

Blountstown's own Ryan Baker is garnering much attention as his senior year at Louisiana State University approaches. An outside linebacker for the LSU Tigers, all eyes are on Baker as the defensive leader. During the Southeastern Conference Media Day Friday, Ryan discussed his dreams for a national title.
