Football weather was in the air and fans in the mood for an exciting district match up between the Blountstown Tigers and Liberty County Bulldogs were not disappointed at Bowles Field Friday night. The football bounced perfectly off the tee for Blountstown on the opening kickoff and the Tigers recovered an onside kick at the Marianna 49 yard line to open the game Friday night at Bowles Field. On first down, quarterback Hunter Jordan threw a long pass to Marquel Thomas who pulled the ball in at the 10 yard line and strolled into the endzone for a touchdown. The Blountstown High School Cross Country Team participated in the Mosley Dolphin Dash Oct. 15 in Panama City.
The team has shown great improvement over the course of the season with many team members setting personal best times. They are continuing to work hard over the next couple of weeks preparing for the district race on October 25.

The Blountstown Tigers improved their overall record to 2 wins and 3 losses with a hard fought 14-0 victory over Sneads Friday night. The game was a defensive battle with neither team able to mount much of an offense.
