Glenna Jean Knight, 81, of Altha, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, in Blountstown.
Born in Eskdale, West Virginia, November 30, 1933, Glenna was the daughter of George and Grace (Gilbert) Kitchen. She attended Magnolia Baptist Church near Altha and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Knight; two brothers, William David Kitchen and Elijah Allen Kitchen; and two sisters, Margaret Blum and Sylvia Kitchen.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Lee Knight and his wife, Renee, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and John Knight of Altha; a daughter, Marketta Boone, of Sumatra; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arbutus “Boots” Boone of Crichton, West Virginia, and Myrtle Bodiford of Lexington, South Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, at Adams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, in the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home with Reverend Dewayne Tolbert and Reverend Clint Clemmons officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Church Cemetery.

Thomas Jeffrey Kimbrel, 46, of Altha, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, in Blountstown.
Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, June 5, 1969, Jeff was the son of Joseph L. and Patricia Lynn (Dowd) Kimbrel. He worked for Farm Bureau Insurance for several years and later worked as general manager for McCoy’s Outdoors in Marianna for several years. Jeff also assisted in the family businesses, JoBe’s Restaurant and Blountstown Pawn and Loan. He was a volunteer for Nettle Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, was past president of Rotary Club, and was a volunteer for Guardian Ad Litem. Jeff attended Victory Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Altha.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Lynn Kimbrel.
Survivors include his father, Joe Kimbrel, of Blountstown; his fiancée, Tammy Baxley, of Altha; his brother, Samuel Kimbrel, and his wife, Adrianna, of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister, Cynthia Kimbrel, of Blountstown; and five nieces and nephews, James Goodholm and Kristen Goodholm of Gainesville, Florida, Allison Markwich and her husband, Jody, of Hampton, Florida, and Andrew Kimbrel and Ben Kimbrel of Atlanta.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, at Adams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Dewayne Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery near Altha.

For most high schools, football seasons come and go with low expectations, very little spirit, and hopes for a 5-5 season. The Blountstown Tigers and Liberty County Bulldogs have built winning programs over the years and expect more. They work harder in the weight room. They set goals of district championships and playoffs.
