Mrs. Merle (Sutton) Pollock, age 89, of Okeechobee, FL passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Okeechobee.
Merle was born on March 14, 1924, in Bonifay, FL, and lived in Okeechobee for the past 34 years. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of the West Side Christian Church in Okeechobee.
Merle was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Randal Deese and Millie Lou (Spence) Deese; her husband, L.C. Sutton; a son, baby boy Sutton; a brother, Alton J. Deese; and two sisters, Ernie Whittington and Alma Lee Baggett.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Pollock, of Okeechobee; three sons, Louie Clifford Sutton and his wife, Lauralie, of Apalachicola, FL, Phillip Wayne Sutton and his wife, Carol, of Blountstown, FL, and William Buell Sutton and his wife, Cheryl, of Okeechobee, FL; two stepsons, Doug Pollock of Muskegon, MI, and Dave Pollock and his wife, Thersa of Jamestown, OH; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 am (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 27, 2013 from 10:00 am (CST) until service time at 11:00 am (CST). All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
