Mary Janice Branch, 68, of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 28, 2014, at her home.
Janice was born on October 2, 1946, in Altha, FL, and had lived in Calhoun and Jackson Counties for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church in Grand Ridge.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Branch; parents, James E. Bodiford and Carrean (Young) Bodiford; brother, Leon Bodiford; and sister, Betty Cody.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Branch of Grand Ridge, and Randy Branch and his wife, Mona, of Le Raysville, PA; one daughter, Shelia Rogers, and her husband, Clark, of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Carroll Bodiford, of Altha; two sisters, Faye Bailey and Margaret Warren, both of Blountstown, FL; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, at 11:00 am (CST) at Shady Grove Methodist Church with Reverend Raymond Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Grand Ridge. The family will receive friends Friday, January 31, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home.

Arthur Peden, 56, of Blountstown, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in Blountstown.
Arthur was a painter and served in the Air National Guard for six years. His favorite pastime was fishing.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Argo.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Millender and wife, Crystal, of Bristol, Florida and Travis Millender of Carrabelle, Florida; five grandchildren, Autumn Millender, Deanna Millender, Lil Richard Millender, Winter Millender, and Dixie Back; one great-grandchild, William Cody Massey, Jr.; and a brother, Jeff Argo.
Memorialization will be by cremation.

Mary Laura MacFarland, age 87, of Bristol, Florida passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Blountstown, Florida. She was born in Lakeland, Florida June 29, 1926 to the late Lou and Mary Laura (Boone) Mathers. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Lake Mystic Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank A. MacFarland; two brothers, Tommy and Bill Mathers; sisters, Martha Wyler and Catherine Wright; and a step-son, Gary MacFarland.
Survivors include a brother, Lamar Mathers of Lakeland, Florida; two sisters, Virginia Grode of Auburndale, Florida and Frances Lightfoot also of Lakeland; and two step-sons, Carl MacFarland of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania and David MacFarland of Cushing, Maine.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. ET, Monday, January 27 in Lake Mystic Cemetery will Reverend Jerry R. Chumley officiating. Interment will follow.
