Mrs. Thadene L. Nance, 89, of Bristol, Florida, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, in Blountstown.
Mrs. Nance was born in Hyden, Kentucky in 1919, moved to Clyde, Texas, in 1951 and to Bristol in 2001. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Trent, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mallie Lewis; a daughter, Ann Meyer; and a brother, George Lewis.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry Nance and his wife, Mary, of Trent, Texas, Paul Nance and his wife, Mary, of Weatherford, Texas, Jim Nance and his wife, the late Nell Nance, of Graham, Texas, Richard Nance and his wife, Cindy, of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Peggy Shoemake, and her husband, Shelby, of Bristol, Florida; a brother, Ralph Lewis, of Hyden, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 6:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, June 20, in Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Bristol, with Darrel Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Clyde Cemetery in Clyde, Texas, at a later date.
