ACCEPTING BIDS

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners will be accepting bids for the following items:
1. General Advertising Services (non-bordered Advertisements) – Local Circulation Newspapers
2. General Advertising Services (bordered Advertisements) – Local Circulation Newspapers.
3. Legal Advertisements – Local Circulation Newspapers.

The complete invitation to Bid (ITB) and bid specifications may be obtained at the Emergency Management Office, located at 20859 Central Avenue East, Room G-40, Blountstown, Florida 32424, located in the basement of the Courthouse or by calling 850-674-8075.

Bid proposals must be received in the Clerk of Court’s Office no later than 2:00 P.M. CT, April 20, 2010. Bid proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “SEALED BID FOR ADVERTISING SERVICES” on the front of the envelope.

Bid proposals will be opened at the regular County Commission meeting of April 20, 2010 at approximately 5:00 P.M. CT, or as soon thereafter as possible.

Bid proposals shall contain the following information:

1. The bid shall state the price per column inch of print for bordered advertisements. The stated price shall be for a single printing of the advertisement.
2. The bid shall state the price per column inch for print for legal advertisements. The stated price shall be for a single printing of the advertisement.
3. The stated prices for each of the above-described types of advertisements shall include all costs to be borne by the County for that type of advertisement. There shall be no other charges made to the County for advertising services other than the above described charges.
4. The successful bidder shall have a weekly circulation frequency.
5. The bid shall indicate the minimum time necessary for advertisements to be
submitted to the newspaper each week to be printed in that week’s edition of the newspaper.
6. Bids that do not provide the above information will be declared non-
responsive and rejected.

The Board of County Commissioner will award advertisement services to one bidder. It is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners to procure services best suited to the needs of Calhoun County; therefore, price will not be the sole consideration in the bid award process.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and/or all bids. Calhoun County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:

MOSSY POND COMMUNITY
CENTER ROOF

This project will include the construction of a 40 mil PVC membrane roof (per the specification provided), on the existing concrete structure, and caulking and sealing all construction joints between the hollow core slabs (interior and exterior).

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Preble-Rish, Inc., 20684 Central Ave. East, Blountstown, FL 32424; (850) 674-3300. For questions, please call Matt Carpenter at (850) 643-2771. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.

Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.

Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day.

Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for the “Mossy Pond Community Center Roof”.
