The District 5 AA (Pitching Machine) Tournament will be held at Veterans Memorial Park June 13-18. Eight or nine teams will be entered in this tournament.
The District 3 Dixie Boys (13-14) will be held beginning June 29. Five teams will play in this event. Schedules for both tournaments will be announced at a later date.
Church co-ed softball league meeting June 22
There will be an organization meeting for the Liberty County Recreation Department Church Co-Ed Softball League at the Civic Center Monday, June 22, at 7 pm. At this time, rules, entry fee, schedule, etc. will be discussed.
The season will begin the week after the Fourth of July and run for approximately six weeks. For information on this program call the Liberty County Recreation Department 643-2175.
Variety of summer sports camps offered in June
The Liberty County Recreation Department in conjunction with SWAT will hold Youth Summer Camps in baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball during the month of June. Camps schedules are being worked on and will be announced prior to the end of school.
