Altha’s kindergarten students celebrate the 100th day of school

The students in Mrs. Edenfield’s and Mrs. Tuszynski’s classes participated in many activities that had to do with the number 100. They started off the morning by taking part in a total of 100 exercises. These exercises varied from jumping jacks to toe touches.

They then jumped from 100 exercises to making necklaces made with a total of 100 fruit loops. Then it was time to see how these brilliant students would spend $100. The kindergarten classes even had fun counting out 10 different snacks that added up to 100. They had fun with raisins, Fruit Loops, M&M’s and chocolate chips.

The students then wrote their names as many times as possible in 100 seconds. They also found out that it was quite hard to be quiet for 100 seconds. Math was also a part of the 100th day celebration. The students played a math game that included dice and a chart of 100 squares.

The students also enjoyed many books about the 100th day including 100 Days of School and 100th Day Worries.
