Lillie Virginia Nichols, 101 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 in Marianna.
Lillie V was born in Callaway, Florida to the late James Jefferson Fowler and Sarah Lee (Ligon) Fowler. She had worked for Bailey’s Variety Store and was a lunchroom worker at Carr School for many years. She was a member of Poplar Head Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin; brothers, Vennie, Oba, Tommy, Clyde, Elbert and Fred Fowler; a twin sister, Linnie Lou Fowler and a grandchild Scott Pybus.
Survivors include her son, Roger Nichols and his wife Rae of Clarksville; a daughter, Barbara Peacock and her husband, Eugene of Marianna; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Services to honor and celebrate Lillie V’s life were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville with Reverend Troy Marks and Elder Gerald Gause officiating. Interment followed in Poplar Head Cemetery. Contribution may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice 4374 Lafayette St. Marianna, FL 32446
