Homecoming week at Altha School kicked off Monday night with the coronation and talent show.

This year’s theme is “A Dream Come True”.

Tuesday was decade day. Students dressed up according to different eras.

Wednesday is neon day. Students are dressing in neon colors and sunglasses. Beginning at 6:00 P.M on Wednesday night, will be the black light pep rally hosted by Altha School’s FCA, followed by a bonfire at the baseball field.

Thursday is class color war day. Students will be dressing in their class t-shirts or class color.

The Miss AHS Womanless Beauty Pageant will begin at 2:00 P.M.

Also on Thursday, JV and Varsity Basketball will be playing Aucilla away starting at 5:00 P.M.

Friday is spirit day and students are encouraged to dress in their “A Dream Come True” homecoming shirts and deck out in the school colors of purple and gold. At 1:00 the first float in the homecoming parade will start to roll its wheels. Immediately, and then we will all meet back in the gym for the Battle of the Bands and get the school pumped up during the Wildcat Roar Pep Rally.

At 5:30, the first ball will be bounced for the 2010 JV Homecoming game against the Liberty County Bulldogs. During half-time of the JV game, the homecoming court will be presented. At 6:30, Varsity will begin living their dream against the Bulldogs.

After the games and till 11:00, the homecoming dance will be in the gym. This year it’s a formal event for grades 6 – 12, the admission will be $3 dollars a person or $5 per couple.

Saturday will be the end of our homecoming week with a 5K Fun Run at 8:00 A.M at the Altha Park.

At 5:00 P.M., a Boston Butt supper is available; the price will be $6 a plate including a drink with all proceeds going to the Student Government organization. At 6:30 P.M, leaving an awesome end to this year’s homecoming week for Altha School, will be the Altha alumni basketball and cheerleading showcase.
