BMS Basketball Team End Season 10-1

The Blountstown Middle School boys basketball teamed ended their season 10-1 and captured the conference championship title. Here’s a rundown of their games.

BMS vs Altha
In the first game of the season, the Tigers defeated Altha 46-14. Bryan Middlebrooks led in scoring with 12 points. Javakiel Brigham added 11 and Jay Williams chipped in 9. Hunter Jordan grabbed 9 rebounds.

BMS vs Hosford
The Tigers would then run their record to 2-0 by defeating Hosford 44-4. Hunter Jordan led all scorers with 10 points followed by Jay Williams 8, Anthony Jones 7, and Andrew Bennett 6.

BMS vs Franklin
In the third game of the year, the Tigers faced off against Franklin County to win by a margin of 36-11. Javakiel Brigham and Anthony Jones led in scoring with 8 points each. Hunter Jordan led the rebounding charge with 9.

BMS vs Tolar
The Tigers defeated Tolar 36-19 to up their record to 4-0. Hunter Jordan led the scoring charge with 11 points. Anthony Jones added 8 and Bryan Middlebrooks had 7. Dimitri Simmons had 6 rebounds.

BMS vs St.Joe
The Tigers hit the road to take on the Sharks and suffer their only loss of the season. The game was tied with 25 seconds left on the clock only to see the Sharks take a 41-39 lead. The Tigers were led by Bryan Middlebrooks 12 points, Anthony Jones 10 points, and Javakiel Brigham 7. Hunter Jordan grabbed another 9 rebounds.

BMS vs Marianna
The Tigers defeated the Bulldogs in a thrilling triple overtime game 40-38. Anthony Jones scored 10 points and Corin Peterson added 6. Dimitri Simmons had 7 rebounds.

BMS vs Tolar
The Tigers would host Tolar and win 50-24 advancing their record to 6-1. Javakiel Brigham led all scorers with 12 points. Hunter Jordan had 11 points along with Ased Farooqi’s 4. Demitri Simmions and Hunter Jordan had 7 rebounds a piece.

BMS vs St Joe
The Tigers would avenge their only loss of the season by defeating the Sharks 51-29. Bryan Middlebrooks led the scoring charge with 10 points. Jay Williams added 8 points along with Corin Peterson’s 6. Javakiel Brigham and Hunter Jordan grabbed 8 rebounds.

BMS vs Wewa
In the final regular season game the Tigers would defeat the Gators 44-19. Hunter Jordan led all scorers with 12 points. Dimitri Simmons added 7 along with Andrew Bennett and Ased Farooqi scoring 6 each.

Conference Tournament

BMS vs Altha
The Tigers defeated Altha 45-28 to advance to the Panhandle Conference Championship. Javakiel Brigham led the scoring charge with 9 points and Ased Farooqi added 7. Andrew Bennett and Corin Peterson had 4 rebounds.

BMS vs St Joe
In the championship game the tigers would overpower the Sharks 50-25 to claim the tournament title. Anthony Jones led all scorers with 18 points. Javakiel Brigham added 10 points along with Jay Williams’ 9. Hunter Jordan led the rebound charge with 8 and Dimitri Simmons added 6.
