Donna Jean Basford, 50, of Blountstown, FL, passed away Friday night, December 18, 2009, in Blountstown.

Donna was born in Marianna and had lived in Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a waitress and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, John Cameron Stokes, of Gulfport, MS; one daughter, Bridget Lynn Stokes, of Gulfport, MS; three brothers, Wayne Basford and his wife, Cathy, of Grand Ridge, Darryl Basford of Blountstown, Glenn Basford and his wife, Tracy, of Altha; two sisters, Barbara Moneyham and husband, Michael, of Grand Ridge, Marilyn Vincent and her husband, Terry, of Blountstown; five grandchildren, Sean Lee, Loren Lee, Micah White, Rylee Stokes and Jamie Stokes; four aunts, Shirley White and her husband, Charles, of Blountstown, Geneva Pitts of Blountstown, Jenell LeMaster and her husband, Tommy, of Albertville, AL, Carolyn Gomillion of Blountstown; one uncle, Marion Pitts, and his wife, Bonnie, of Altha; special friends, Jackie Branning, Reuel Smith, Peter Linton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Dykes Cemetery in Sneads, FL.

All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 850-674-2266).
