Mrs. Carolyn Powell Waldroff, age 75, Of Altha, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Covenant Hospice in Panama City, Florida.
Carolyn was born on September 9, 1941, in Blountstown, Florida, and had lived in Calhoun County all of her life.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence Calvin Powell and Lillian Sue Newsome Powell. She retired after 32 years working for the State of Florida, retiring as an Accounting Supervisor with the Florida Department of Corrections. She was a 1959 graduate of Blountstown High School. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Clarksville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Danny Gene Waldroff; four brothers, Dewey Powell, O’Neal Powell, Robert Lloyd Powell, and Lewis Dean Powell; two brothers-in-law, Gary Allen Waldroff and Clyde Mack Waldron; and family friend Ricky Waldrop.
Carolyn is survived by: two sons, Daniel Eugene Waldroff and Timothy Powell Waldroff, both of Altha; one daughter, Wendy Michelle Aldaiz and husband Manuel, of Panama City; one brother, Clarence Calvin Powell, Jr., of Altha; one sister, Christine Waldron of Altha; two brothers-in-law, Charles Waldroff and Stanley Waldroff (Gail), both of Altha;one sister-in-law, Alene Grice of Bristol; one very special grandson, Sean Alexander Aldaiz of Panama City; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 2:00 PM (CST), at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown, Florida, with Reverend John Marvin Nichols and Reverend Glenn Dunham officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha, Florida. Memorial donations may be made to Covenant Care Hospice (615 N. Bonita Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401).
All arrangements are under the care of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida. 850-674-2266.
