Mrs. Edna Barker, 87, of Blountstown, passed away Monday night, Dec. 7, 2009, in Blountstown.
Mrs Barker was born July 18, 1922, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and had lived in Calhoun County for the past 26 years, coming from Moses Lake, WA. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bristol.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, David William Barker, and three sisters, Dorothy Jones, Doris Cunnington, and Marjorie Wright.
Survivors include one son, Gordon Barker, and his wife, Barbara, of Portland, OR; three daughters, Renae M. Johnson and her husband, Kirk, of Las Vegas, NV, Mary Louise Layne and her husband, Raymond, of Blountstown, and Rebecca Jean Lawrence and her husband, Danny Ray, of Marianna; 19 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. CST at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bristol with Bishop Aaron Holloway officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown.
