Christmas Parade Held Over The Weekend

‘Tis the season in Calhoun County where a Candyland Christmas celebration was held over the weekend.

Highlights of the festivities included two Christmas parades Saturday - one in Altha in the afternoon and another after dark in Blountstown.

Floats were judged at the Blountstown parade and winners included:

Business/Non-Profit Division:
1st – Calhoun Correctional Institute
2nd – Boy Scouts

Church Division:
1st - Open Arms/Assembly of God
2nd – United Methodist Church
3rd – Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
