Mrs. Alma L. Blue of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Bay Medical Center, Covenant Hospice. She was a member of Greater Faith Temple Church in Blountstown, Florida.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the sanctuary of the Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church located at 16345 SE River Street in Blountstown, Florida 32424 with Reverend Dr. C.L. Wilson (pastor), Superintendent Andrew Davis, Apostle G.B. Sheard, Superintendent Delano Reed, Reverend Dwight Cockerham, Sr., and Minister Warren Mosley officiating. Interment in Graves Creek Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Blue will lie in repose at the church from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

The viewing will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving and devoted family: Eight Daughters: Lillie Blue Baker (Julius) of Marianna, Florida, Linda Gail Monlyn (Jerry) of Blountstown, FL, Leatha Bush (Leon) of Grand Ridge, FL, Diane Godwin of Greenwood, FL, Renell Webb of Jacksonville, FL,Rebecca Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Theresa Pams (Thomas) of Birmingham, AL. and Sandri’lia Johnson of Tallahassee, FL; Three Sons: Leroy Edwards, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, Willie J. Edwards of Blountstown, FL, and James Johnson of Pensacola, FL; One Sister, Ossie Lee Blue of Blountstown, FL; One Sister-in-Law, Althamease Blue of Blountstown, FL; Aunt, Rubie Yon Jones of Freeport, VA; 25 Grandchildren, 45 Great Grandchildren, One Step Grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Vann Funeral Home in Marianna, Fl is in charge of the arrangements. 850-482-3300.
