A Bristol man who escaped from the Liberty County Jail a week ago Sunday was apprehended three days later in Tallahassee
Everett Jedadiah Ellis, 30, who was serving an 11 month, 29 day sentence for drug related charges, reportedly escaped from a second floor confinement area after kicking out an air conditioning unit, crawling through duct work and making his way onto the roof.
Sources indicate Ellis was caught near the corner of Woodward Avenue and West Tennessee Street around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday following a tip from a citizen who recognized him from news reports. He did not resist and reportedly remarked to officers that he was exhausted, feeling like he had walked 100 miles.
