Mr. Wallace Edwin Baggett, 66, of Altha, FL, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at his home in Altha.
Wallace was born on April 9, 1950, in Altha to Clint and Mattie (Gray) Baggett. He worked as a supervisor for Gwinnett County School System. Wallace proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He lived in Altha for 12 years, coming from Lawrenceville, GA. Wallace was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Mattie Baggett; three brothers, James (Shorty) Baggett, Edgar Baggett, and Ed Baggett; and four sisters, Nancy Marks, Lula Bowlin, Velynn Hansford, and Betsy Hicks.
He is survived by a daughter, Wandee Baggett, and fiancé, Chris Duncan, of Blountstown; four sisters, Doris Laramore, of Altha, Dawnie O’Brian, of Altha, Wanda Pate and husband, Melvin, of Mexico Beach, FL, and Carolyn Nesmith and husband, Buddy, of Bascom, FL; and two grandchildren, Keegan Baggett and Carson Duncan.
Memorialization will be by cremation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17, at 7:30 PM (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown with J.B. Musgrove speaking. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, from 6:00 PM until service time at 7:30 PM (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
