June Glass, 85, of Blountstown, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Born in Telogia, April 17, 1931, June was the daughter of Henry Lewis and Trudie (Dickerson) Newsome. She was a registered nurse at Liberty County Health Department until her retirement in 1995 and was a member of the Nurses Association. She was a member of Blountstown First Baptist Church and was pianist for many years.

June was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lewis Newsome, and a grandson, Ren Glass.

Survivors include her husband, Freddie Glass, of Blountstown; two sons, Tony Glass and his wife, Molly, of Clarksville, and Timmy Glass and his wife, Terri, also of Clarksville; two daughters, Debbie Sharp and her husband, Reggie, of Blountstown and Jennifer Martin and her husband, Randy, of Tallahassee; grandchildren, Regina Williams and her husband, Grant, Catrina Stewart and her husband, Tony, Sabrina Dunlap and her husband, John, Eric Glass, George Glass, Austin Glass, all of Blountstown, Erin Glass of Tallahassee, Casey Dunham and her husband, Garrett, of Sneads, and Shannon Corbin and his wife, Heather, of Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Ms. Trudie Newsome; two brothers, James Ferrell Newsome and his wife, Mary, of Grand Ridge and Johnny Michael Newsome and his wife, Elma, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Janice White and her husband, Bob, of Gulf Breeze, and Joan Martel and her husband, Troy, of Murphy, North Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Blountstown First Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Chumley officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Avenue Suite E, Marianna, FL 32446 or First Baptist Church, 17091 South Main Street, Blountstown, FL 32424.
