A man who reportedly admitted to authorities he sells meth was arrested last Wednesday in Blountstown, along with his female passenger.
Joshua Clay Williams, 29, of Clarksville, is charged with possesson of meth and narcotics equipment, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and dealing in stolen property. His bond is set at $35,000. Khrystal Attaway, 32, also of Clarksville, is charged with possession of meth and violation of conditional release. Her bond has been set at $100,000 for failure to appear in court on a prior felony offense. She has an additional $5000 bond on the new meth charge.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Dep. Beck pulled Williams over for failing to stop at the intersection of Charlie Johns and Angle Street. Williams reportedly appeared nervous and had bulges in both front pockets. He agreed to empty his pockets which revealed $1066 in cash and two syringes that field tested positive for meth. Passenger Attaway asked to smoke a cigarette. Dep. Crawford, assisting at the scene, opened the cigarette box and found two plastic bags that field tested positive for meth.
A firearm in the console was reported stolen from Bay County. A glass pipe and digital scales were also seized. Williams allegedly told investigators he has been selling meth.
