A Scotts Ferry girl is recovering at a Panama City hospital after a dog attack late Monday afternoon.
Brianna “Bri” Begor, 9, was bitten several times by a dog around 5 p.m. She was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital with three major gashes on her head and two to the side of her face above her ear, along with injuries to her hands.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Dep. Beau McCorvey responded to Bri’s grandfather’s home and learned a mixed breed dog had attacked the child while she was riding her bike.
Her mother, Amanda Yon, reported Tuesday morning that Bri was awaiting surgery and was not in any pain. Prayers are much appreciated.
The dog is being quarantined for 10 days.
