Mr. Michael Walden, 50, of Lynn Haven, FL, and a former resident of Calhoun County passed away Monday, November 16, 2009, in Panama City.
Michael was born on August 2, 1959, in Wewahitchka, FL, and had lived in Lynn Haven for the past 15 years. He was a millwright with Smurfit Stone in Panama City. Michael loved playing his guitar and enjoyed fly fishing. He was of the protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Walden, of Lynn Haven; mother, Hazel Walden, of Clarksville; one son, Josh Walden, of Tallahassee; stepson, Jay Reed, of Lynn Haven; one daughter, Georgia Walden, of Tallahassee, stepdaughter, Kelsey Reed, of Lynn Haven; four brothers, George Wendell (BoBo) Walden and his wife, Debbie, of Clarksville, Troy Walden and his wife, Garnett, of the Red Oak Community, Kenneth Walden and his wife, Susan, of Clarksville, Wayne Walden and his wife, Lisa, of Blountstown; two sisters, Sharon Edge of Clarksville, Michelle Waldroff and Kenneth, of Altha; one granddaughter, Abby Gunn, of Tallahassee; brother-in-law, Greg McDaniel, of Tallahassee; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 19, at 3:00 p.m. (CT) at Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Melvin Tate and Dr. Shawn Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Travelers Rest Cemetery. The famly will receive friends Wednesday, November 18, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. (CT) at Peavy Funeral Home.
