A Blountstown woman sustained serious injuries in a single vehicle crash in Madison County Thursday.
Beth Clabaugh, 45, is stable in the intensive care unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after breaking her back, jaw and a rib, as well as sustaining an injury to her intestines.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, David D. Hartman, 37, was behind the wheel of a 2014 Ford Focus around 9:45 p.m. traveling south on SR 267. Clabaugh was his passenger. At the intersection of SR 30, he failed to stop, entered the shoulder, collided with a ditch, then hit a utility pole.
Hartman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Beth has recently been working as a waitress at Connie’s Kitchen and these injuries sustained in the crash will certainly keep her from working for quite awhile. A secure way to donate to help Beth with expenses has been set up on the “Go Fund Me” website. Her sister has posted a link on Beth’s Facebook page for those wishing to help.
