Betty Sue Hattaway, age 85, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Pensacola.

Born January 29, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late G. W. Rackley and Lessie (Faircloth) Rackley. During her life, Betty lived in Bonifay, Florida, Altha, Florida, Blountstown, Florida, and Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Virgil W. Hattaway, Cecil Hall, and Dick Knight; two brothers, Jimmy Ralph Wells of Tampa, Florida and Gerald T. Wells of Altha; two sisters, Mary Frances Rayburn of Orlando, Florida and Carolyn Ruth Bathrick of New York.

Survivors include her son, John Landon Hattaway of Pensacola, Florida; daughters, Tammy Maxwell of Lynn Haven, Florida, Susan Carr, also of Pensacola; and Tracey Lynn Penney of Altha; grandchildren, John Benton Hattaway and his wife, Emily, Elizabeth Benton, Kaitlyn Alley and her husband, Nic, Jessica Carr Black and her husband, James, Tara Baril and her husband, Pat, Scott Carey, Amber Nachmam and Justin Miller; and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 27 in the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery near Blountstown. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
