The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office released the following statement today regarding the investigation into the death of two-year-old Anya Dziura of Altha. The press release, prepared by Lt. Robert Revell, reads as follows:

The investigation into the death of Anya Dziura is still currently ongoing, which means we are unable to release any details of the investigation at this time. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is working with FDLE on this case and we are currently waiting on forensic evidence from FDLE, analyzing interviews, finalizing reports, as well as awaiting the final report from the 14th Judicial Circuit Medical Examiner's Office.

A meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, between the 14th Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to discuss the investigation and additional charges pertaining to this case.

As previously reported, Anya's mother and the mom's live-in boyfriend remain held without bond on child neglect charges.
