On Wednesday, March 11th, the BHS Chapter of National Honor Society, gathered in the auditorium to welcome fifty-two new members.
Vice President, Shae Hall, welcomed the faculty, student body, parents and other guests to the ceremony. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Tripp Taylor, NHS members selected by the BHS faculty as representatives of the principles of National Honor Society, presented definitions of those principles.
Senior Heather Yoder presented Character as Junior, Colby Tanner lit a candle. Senior J.P. Leonard presented Scholarship as junior Will McClellan lit a candle. Senior Thomas Howell presented Leadership as junior Colton Purvis lit a candle, and senior Donavan Ebersole presented Service as junior George Glass lit a candle.
President Santana Lee led the initiation of new members. After Principal Dr. Debbie Williams recognized the new members, Mr. Bill Mayo, the guest speaker, delivered a motivational speech.

Following the formal initiation, all NHS Members and their guests were invited to the BHS Culinary Area. They enjoyed delicious refreshments provided by NHS members.
