Celesta Jeane Clements Shuler was born July 29, 1941, in Dothan, Alabama, and was called home on February 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

She was welcomed home by her parents, Oren C. and Martha Nell Clements; her daughter, Celeste Shuler Eubanks; and her grandson, James Oren Shuler.

Her Spirit is carried on by her husband of 53 years, James E. “Pot” Shuler; one daughter, Jeannie M. “Shelly” Shuler Stafford, and husband, Ricky, of Bristol; one son-in-law, Bennett T. Eubanks, of Blountstown; one son, James N. “Jim” Shuler, and wife, Celeste, of Marianna; and a very dear cousin and best friend, Sharon Yarbrough, and husband, Bud, of North Carolina. Jeane was a devoted “Memi” to 19 grandchildren, Heather Cain, Nic Cain, Benjamin Eubanks, Natalie and Preston Burke, Audrey Eubanks, Burgon Shuler, Jimmy Shuler, Jackson Shuler, Hunter Shuler, Chesnee and Marc McCaskill, Mannie Stafford, Shann and Eric Layne, and Rynn and Shad Redmon. Memi Jeane
also had 10 great grandchildren that she loved and enjoyed as well as being Memi to many other dear family friends.

A life-long resident of Calhoun and Liberty counties, she worked 5 years outside of the home as a school teacher at Blountstown Elementary. She cherished every student she ever taught and her loving spirit and kindness carried over into her work. After 5 wonderful years, she decided to devote herself fully to her family. For the rest of her life, she devoted her days tending to and loving her parents, husband, children, grandchildren and friends.

Services will be held in Bristol at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on Wednesday, February 25. A visitation with the family will begin at 3:00 pm EST with the memorial service beginning at 4:00 pm EST. Interment will be held following the services at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida.

Peavy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements(ph. 674-2266).
