THE BIG RIVER PARK VISION
Dr. Matt Powers (left) and one of his graduate students with the FAMU Masters of Landscape Architecture program are shown above Friday sharing some of their ideas for a class project dubbed “Big River Park” with Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Kristy Halley Terry, and Elam Stoltzfus, Chamber President.
Several of the students in Dr. Powers’ program visited the old Abitibi and Rysco sites off River Street and each created their own proposal on what the vacant spaces could become. Watch for more details on an upcoming public presentation on this project.
