Edna Miller Turner, 88, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
Edna was born September 20, 1926, in Cuthbert, GA. She was a school crossing guard at Five Points for many years and operated a children’s day care center for over 20 years. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross Grey Ladies and member of First Presbyterian Church.
Greeting Edna when she arrived in heaven were many loved ones and friends that passed before her to include her husband of 47 years, C. D. Turner; her parents, J. W. “Will” Miller and Mamie Jones Miller; her brothers, Charles and Jack; and her sisters, Thelma, Mary, and Ruby.
Left behind with many memories of love and laughter are her daughter, Audrey Turner Dollar, and her husband, Tommy, of Bainbridge, GA; her son, Robert Turner, and his wife, Sharon, of Blountstown, FL; her sisters, Audrey Milner of Quincy, FL and Martha Williams of Dothan, AL; her grandchildren, Shelby Turner and his wife, Dena, Garet Franklin and his wife, Kacee, Lynn Turner Fleck and her husband, Robbie, Anna Beth Kinchen and her husband, Ashley, and Hugh Dollar; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens with her nephews serving as active pallbearers.
