Willa Jean Hansford, 65, of Altha, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014, in Altha.

Jean was born December 28, 1948 in Artesia, California. She was a retired beautician; was bookkeeper and dispatcher at Shelton Trucking SVC, Inc. for eighteen years; and was bookkeeper at Oglesby Plants International, Inc. for 15 years. Jean was a member of RiverTown Community Church in Blountstown, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Hansford; her father, Albert Burd, Jr.; and her brother, Gary Burd.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Earl “Tommy” Hansford of Altha; her son, Craig Hansford, of Altha; two grandchildren, Gaige Tristen Hansford and Austin Thomas Hansford; a great-grandchild, Amelia Grace Hansford; and her mother, Willa Mae Burd, of Altha.

The family received friends at 12:00 noon CT, Monday, December 29, at Sanders Cemetery in Hosford, Florida. Funeral services followed at 1:00 p.m. CT with Reverend Claude McGill officiating. Interment followed.
