OBITUARY - Terry

Mr. Leron Eugene Terry, 63, of Blountstown, FL, passed Thursday, December 4, 2014, at his home.

Eugene was born on May 16, 1951, in Phoebe, Mississippi and had lived in Blountstown for most of his life. He was a retired correctional officer with the State of Florida and worked in several fields in construction. Eugene truly loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Eugene was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Blountstown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Milton Terry, Sr. and Viola Nation Terry; two brothers, James Melvin Terry and his wife, Frances, and Bonnie Milton Terry; a sister, Winnie Fay Terry Roberts; and a niece, Donna Faye Terry.

Survivors include his wife, Gaye Terry, of Blountstown; daughter, Crystal Sims and husband, Mel, of Crawfordville, FL; two grandchildren, Trinity and MJ Sims, of Crawfordville, FL; two brothers, Charles Ray Terry and his wife, Cathy, of Yulee, FL, and Norman Terry and his wife, Lynn, of Kinard, FL; four sisters, Willese Hall, Laura Freeman, Joleata Hand and her husband, Ronnie, Mary Folsom and her husband, Dale, all of Blountstown; and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, at 1:00 pm (CST) at the First Assembly of God Church in Blountstown with Charles Ray Terry and Reverend Shelton Kindig officiating. The family received friends Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 6:00 pm (CST) until 8:00 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation.

All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
