Wilma Jean Middleton, 71, of Altha, Florida, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, in Tallahassee, Florida.
She was born in Altha to the late Marvin and Liddie (Chason) Hall June 7, 1943. Wilma was a lifelong resident of Altha and was a graduate of Altha High School. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church near Grand Ridge, Florida. Wilma was a homemaker and also assisted in Middleton Construction Company.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Alex Middleton; and her sister, Lula Nix.
Survivors include her husband, ‘Cotton’ Middleton, of Altha; her sons, Roger Lee Middleton of Altha and Timothy Alday and his wife, Dawn, also of Altha; seven grandchildren, Ashley Alday, Andrew Middleton, T. J. Alday, Brandi Middleton, Shelby Middleton, Bradly Middleton, and Shannon Stewart; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Willard Hall and his wife, Theresa, of Altha; and four sisters, Josephine Kelley of Lakeland, Florida, Hilda Jane Trickey and her husband, Kenness, of Pace, Florida, Blondell Melton of Altha, and Joan Baker and her husband, Jimmy, of Huntsville, Alabama.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, in the chapel of Adams Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hall Family Cemetery near Altha. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, at the funeral home.
